- Year of notification of rice was in 1989.
- This paddy variety takes about 130-135 days to grow.
- It is grown in irrigated areas.
- The plant size is dwarf ( 80-85 cm ).
- The grain is medium slender and white.
- It is resistant to blast, brown spot, green leaf hopper, white
back plant hopper and moderately resistant ro rice tungru virus,
brown plant hopper, leaf foder and gall midge.
- Its yield is 58 quintals/hectare.
- It is grown in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andhra Pradesh.
