Various features of this variety of rice are as follows :

The scientific name of this rice is IET-6223.
Year of notification was in 1988.
This paddy variety takes about 110-112 days to grow.
It is grown in rainfed upland areas.
The grain is short statured.
It is moderately resistant to blast and stem borer, susceptible to bacterial leaf blight, gall midge and brown plant hopper.
It is grown in Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur Meghalaya, Nagaland, Orissa and Goa.
