Usage of Frozen Rice
- Unlike instant rice, there has been no damage (cracking or fissuring of the kernel), and so the quality of this product is as good or better than rice cooked at home in a rice cooker.
- The process for making this rice is very similar to the cooking process used at home. Once the rice is cooked and ready to eat, it is then quick-frozen.
- It can be mixed with vegetables and serves as an excellent rice dish.
- Freezing food is a common method of food preservation which slows both food decay and, by turning water to ice, makes it unavailable for bacterial growth and chemical reactions.
- Frozen rice may be preserved for several months by freezing, but not indefinitely.
