This variety of rice was notified in
1976. It is mainly grown in the irrigated areas of Gujrat. There are 3
main varieties of Guar Rice. These are :
- Guar-10
- This variety takes about 120 days to grow.
- The plant height is semi dwarf (95 cm).
- The grain is long slender.
- It is susceptible to blast.
- Its yield is 50-52 quintals/hectare.
- Guar-11
- This variety takes about 125 days to grow.
- The plant height is semi dwarf (95 cm)
- The grain is medium slender.
- It is susceptible to blast.
- Its yield is 50-55 quintals/hectare.
- Guar-100
- This variety takes about 130 days to grow.
- The plant height is semi dwarf (110 cm).
- The grain is medium slender.
- It is susceptible to blast.
- Its yield is 50-55 quintals/hectare.
