This variety of rice was notified in 1976.
This paddy variety takes about 95-100 days to grow.
It is best grown in rainfed upland areas.
The plant height is tall (145-150 cm).
The grain is medium slender and red.
It is moderately resistant to blast, green leaf hopper, moderately susceptible to rice tungro virus and susceptible to gall midge.
Its yield is 60-65 quintals/hectare.
It is grown in Madhya Pradesh.
