This variety of rice is grown in
Bihar. The are two main types of this variety. They are discussed below :
- Rajendra Dhan-201
- This paddy variety takes about 130-135 days to grow.
- It is grown in medium lowlands.
- The plant height is dwarf (85-90 cm).
- The grain is medium slender and white.
- It is moderately resistant to bacterial leaf blight and green
leaf hopper.
- Its yield is 40-45 quintals/hactare.
- Rajendra Dhan-202
- This paddy variety takes about 125-130 days to grow.
- It is grown in irrigated medium lowlands.
- The plant height is semi dwarf (90-95 cm).
- The grain is long bold and white.
- It is moderately resistant to gall midge.
- Its yield is 40-50 quintals/hactare.
